Bluenose - David Martin
In the town of Lunenburg down Nova Scotia way,
In nineteen twenty-one on a windy day,
A sailing ship was born, Bluenose was her name,
Will we ever see her kind again?
Chorus: Bluenose, the ocean knows her name,
Sailors know how proud a ship was she;
Bluenose, leaning in the wind,
Racing every wave of the sea.
Her sails were snowy white, they strained against the mast,
The spray blew high as she went rolling past;
And from the very first, old Bluenose liked to run,
She liked the smell of sea and the sun.
Chorus
For twenty-five long years she ruled the Northern sea,
Racing like a queen on the tide;
And on the Caribbean one dark and stormy day,
She ran into a reef and died.
Chorus
Now just the other day, down Nova Scotia way,
In Lunenburg they christened a ship;
Just like the old Bluenose, to the very name,
The Bluenose lives and sails again.
Chorus x 2
I Wan’na Be Like You - Jungle Book
Now I'm the king of the swingers,
Oh, the jungle VIP,
I've reached the top and had to stop,
And that's what botherin' me.
I wanna be a man, mancub,
And stroll right into town,
And be just like the other men,
I'm tired of monkeyin' around!
Oh, oobee doo
I wanna be like you, ooh, ooh!
I wanna walk like you,
Talk like you, too, ooh, ooh!
You'll see it's true, ooh, ooh!
An ape like me, ee, ee.
Can learn to be hu-ooh-ooh-man too, Ooh-ooh.
Don't try to kid me, mancub,
And don’t get in a stew
What I desire is man's red fire,
So I can be like you.
Give me the secret, mancub
Just clue me what to do,
Give me the pow’r
of man's red flow’r,
And make my dream come true!
Oh, oobee doo

Let’s go Fly a Kite - Mary Poppins
With tuppence for paper and strings
You can have your own set of wings;
With your feet on the ground,
You're a bird in a flight
With your fist holding tight
To the string of your kite
Oh, oh, oh!
Let's go fly a kite
Up to the highest height!
Let's go fly a kite and send it soaring
Up through the atmosphere,
Up where the air is clear.
Oh, let's go fly a kite!
When you send it flyin' up there,
All at once you're lighter than air;
You can dance on the breeze
Over houses and trees
With your first 'olding tight
To the string of your kite.
Oh, oh, oh!
Let's go fly a kite
Up to the highest height!
Let's go fly a kite and send it soaring
Up through the atmosphere,
Up where the air is clear.
Oh, Let's go fly a kite!
Best Day of my Life
Verse 1:
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh. I had a dream so big and loud
I jumped so high I touched the clouds
Wo-o-o-o-o-oh, wo-o-o-o-o-oh
I stretched my hands out to the sky
We danced with monsters through the night
Wo-o-o-o-o-oh, wo-o-o-o-o-oh
Pre Chorus:
I'm never gonna look back
Woah, never gonna give it up
No, please don't wake me now

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh. This is gonna be the best day of my life
Ooh, ooh, ooh, my li-i-i-i-i-ife My li-i-i-i-i-ife

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh.
Verse 2:
I howled at the moon with friends
And then the sun came crashing in
Wo-o-o-o-o-oh, wo-o-o-o-o-oh
But all the possibilities
No limits just epiphanies
Wo-o-o-o-o-oh, wo-o-o-o-o-oh
Pre Chorus

Bridge:
I hear it calling outside my window
I feel it in my soul

Two Canadian Folk Songs
Land of the silver birch,
Home of the beaver,
Where still the mighty moose
Wanders at will.
Blue lake and rocky shore,
I will return once more,
Boom di-di boom boom
boom di-di boom boom
boom di-di boom boom boom
My paddles keen and bright,
Flashing with silver,
Follow the wild goose flight,
Dip dip and swing.
Dip dip and swing her back,
Flashing with silver,
Follow the wild goose flight
Dip dip and swing.
High on a rocky ledge, My paddles keen and bright,
I’ll build my wigwam, Flashing with silver,
Close by the water’s edge, Follow the wild goose flight
Silent and still. Dip dip and swing.
Blue lake and rocky shore, Dip dip and swing her back,
I will return once more, Flashing with silver,
Boom di-di boom boom Follow the wild goose flight
boom di-di boom boom
boom di-di boom boom boom Dip dip and swing
Wave Over Wave
Me name's Abel Rogers, a shareman am I,
On a three-masted schooner from Twillingate Isle;
I've been the world over, north, south, east, and west,
But the middle of nowhere's where I like it best.
Chorus:
Where it's wave over wave, sea over bow,
I'm as happy a man as the sea will allow;
There's no other life for a sailor like me,
But to sail the salt sea, boys, sail the sea;
There's no other life but to sail the salt sea.
I'd leave my wife lonely ten months of the year,
She made me a home and raised my children dear;
But she'd never come out to bid farewell to me,
Or ken why a sailor must sail the salt sea.
Chorus
I've sailed the wide oceans four decades or more,
And many times wondered what I do it for;
I don't know the answer, it's pleasure and pain,
With life to live over, I'd do it again.
Chorus
There's no other life but to sail the salt sea
